Wholesale Price Survey (SHPB) is a routine monthly survey conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). SHPB field enumeration activities are carried out on the 1st-20th of each month. The purpose of the Wholesale Price Survey (SHPB) conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is to obtain accurate and timely wholesale price data. This data is then used to compile the Wholesale Price Index (IHPB).

By conducting SHPB, the development of commodity prices from time to time will be obtained, as material for compiling the provincial IHPB and its changes (inflation/deflation) and also to assist the government in monitoring price developments to maintain economic stability. Data collected in SHPB includes wholesale prices in various sectors such as: Agriculture, Mining and quarrying, Industry, Import goods groups, Export goods.
