Appreciation Award for Trial Areas of SE2026

The Economic Census is an activity once every ten years to collect data on business actors throughout Indonesia. One form of preparation and readiness of BPS in implementing the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026), BPS held a Technical and Administrative Coordination Meeting for Preparation of SE2026 in Surabaya on 19-21 November 2026. This coordination meeting was attended by BPS representatives throughout Indonesia. From BPS Banjarmasin City, it was attended by the Head of BPS Banjarmasin City, Mrs. Sukma Handayani. In this coordination meeting, appreciation was also given to the SE2026 trial areas which were implemented in 6 districts/cities in six provinces, namely: Medan City, West Jakarta City, Pangandaran Regency, Denpasar City, Banjarmasin City and Takalar Regency. This trial was carried out as one of the stages of preparation for the Economic Census which will be held in mid-2026 with the target of data collection for the SE2026 Pilot and the upcoming Economic Census being all business units, both those owned by Households or individuals (Micro and Small Businesses), Medium Businesses and Large Businesses. The entire data collection process running in the SE2026 pilot will be used as evaluation material and to improve the quality of the data collection process in the upcoming 2026 Economic Census.
