Field Mapping Officer Training Geospatial Framework & Wilkerstat ST2023 Update

The 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) will be carried out again by BPS in 2023. One of the efforts to achieve quality data is the availability of an up-to-date statistical working area master framework (wilkerstat). Unlike the previous Agricultural Census, the master framework that was built was not only on the content of the statistical work area (wilkerstat), but also related to the preparation of the geospatial framework of agricultural land. Since SP2020, BPS has maintained two types of master frameworks, namely the Census Block (BS) and the Local Environmental Unit (SLS) where the BS area is formed based on the homogeneity of the load from the SLS. Given the dynamic changes in SLS from year to year, updating activities are needed to obtain quality wilkerstat.

To prepare prospective officers, the Wilkerstat ST2023 Geospatial Framework Update Field Mapping Officer Training was held on 17-18 February 2022 (Cluster I) and 23-24 February 2022 (Cluster II) at the Nasa Hotel Banjarmasin. Prior to the training, the prospective officers had previously been tested for antigen to ensure that the prospective officers were free from Covid-19. With this training, it is hoped that it will produce officers who are ready to do their job well and produce quality mapping data towards the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023).
